  • Alison Moon - 29 years old, graduated from Sun State Academy in 2007 and has been working in the cosmetology industry for 5 years. Alison chose her profession based on her enjoyment of meeting new people and the ability to creatively express her as well as improving her client’s day. “How people feel when they leave my chair, it is so much more to me than esthetics. That I can improve someone’s self-esteem and boost their confidence” is the most rewarding part of her career. Alison’s daily motto is do what you love, and love what you do. Favorite services that Alison likes to offer new clients are brow tinting and brow waxing. “It’s amazing how you can shape a face by tinting and designing a cleaned-up brow.”


  • Amber Lee Drees - 30 years old, Amber Lee was a member of the first graduating class at the Aveda Institute in St. Petersburg, Fl. She chose this career because it allows her to be creative and do new things every day. Working with her hands and being active is also very important to Drees. Amber Lee’s motto is don’t take yourself too seriously and enjoy life. Color is her favorite service here at Midori.

  • John Tanner - Liscensed massage therapist, John has been in the business for 23 years. Focused on providing quality service in a relaxed environment , John’s reward is helping people feel better about themselves. “Keep it simple and live each day to the fullest” is his motto. John’s favorite service for Midori clients is deep tissue. “It’s the best way to invigorate and help healing.” John is also an avid bicycle racer, cat lover and self- proclaimed exercise addict.


  • Leah Goodwin - 24 years old, graduated from Aveda Institute of St. Petersburg in 2011. Leah chose to pursue a career in this industry to ensure that people understand how to take care of their hair, how to make it beautiful, and most importantly to leave the chemicals to the professionals. The most rewarding part is when young girls come in to the shop, the excitement in their eyes. “To them it’s not about the finer things in life, it’s about the simple things.” Leah’s motto is “Hakuna Matata” or no worries. Leah’s favorite service to offer new clients is the whole shebang. From color, to style that before and after look, seeing that transformation. “That’s the great thing about this industry; you can change your look as much as you want.”



  • Star Rummelt - 28 years old, graduated from Sun State Academy in 2008 and has been working in the cosmetology industry for 3 ½ years. Star chose her profession because she loves to help people project their inside beauty to the outside. The most rewarding part of her career she says is “That smile people make at the end of a service with their head held a little higher.” Stars’ favorite motto is don’t live for tomorrow, live your life doing what makes you happiest and with people you love. Star’s favorite service to offer new guests is color services. She also loves make-up application.
